Jasprit bumrah ruled out from icc t20 world cup 2022

This is bad news for the Indian team management since Bumrah's specialty, death bowling, has proved a problem for the "Men in Blue."

Less than a month before the ICC T20 World Cup kicks off, the Indian team appears to be experiencing some level of concern as its top paceman Jasprit Bumrah has been forced to miss yet another match. The team sheet for India's first T20I match against South Africa in Thiruvananthapuram did not include Bumrah. His withdrawal was announced by the Indian Cricket Board after he reported back problems.

"During Tuesday's practise session for India, Jasprit Bumrah expressed back soreness. He was examined by the BCCI Medical Team. He will not play in the opening T20I "BCCI released a statement. Additionally, the same was tweeted.

Jasprit Bumrah's probable absence from the 2022 T20 World Cup as a result of a stress fracture in his back dealt a serious blow to India.Soon, the physiotherapists at the National Cricket Academy will decide whether or not he need surgery.

Notably, Bumrah has recently rejoined the Indian team following a protracted injury absence. Bumrah played the final two games of the Australia home series with minimal success, managing just one wicket at a pitiful economy rate of 12.17 after missing the opening game.

Following that, the top seamer missed the opening T20I against South Africa because to an ailment. And now that Bumrah won't be playing in the championship match, India's campaign will be significantly hampered because he is their go-to death bowler.

Bumrah's injury has India considering their fast bowling options for the World Cup, which is quickly approaching. Mohammed Shami, a seasoned seamer, has yet to play in a game. Therefore, Deepak Chahar's chances of competing in the big event with Arshdeep Singh and one between Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Harshal Patel have likely increased as a result of this injury.
